Almost halfway through this pregnancy! Can you believe it?!
I don’t think I chose the right outfit to show off the baby bump today but you get the idea
This week little jumping bean is the size of a large Mango
I am feeling rather large and emotional these days. I have been known to break down and cry for no reason.. just because I feel the need to cry, just like Erin said.. consider this your warning.
This past Saturday I felt the baby move for the first time! Well at least I think it was the baby moving. It really felt like popcorn popping in my belly.
Mostly I feel him/her move at night when I am really tired and laying around, but like I said on facebook on Monday night while watching the Virginia Tech game, he/she was definitely jumping up and down during enter sandman
This week has been super busy, our closets are FINISHED, I will blog about them tomorrow, and we ordered our crib and dresser! Hyojon and Jan are super awesome and they not only painted the nursery but finished the crown molding, they have no idea how much we appreciate it. Here is a little peak of our nursery closet
Looking at that picture makes me smile every time! I cannot WAIT to fill it with cute little baby clothes. I have two appointments next week, one on Wednesday with my regular doctor, and then again on Friday at the Women’s center at FFX hospital for our 20 week ultrasound.. eeek Technically we could find out the sex of the baby next Friday but like I have mentioned we are choosing to wait until Sept. 23 when we have our gender reveal party. It’s going to be hard but I know finding out with the rest of our family and friends will make it extra special.
According to babycenter.com, “Your baby’s sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don’t be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you. Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.”
