Seems like time has slowed down… haha I think these last 6 weeks (42 DAYS) are going to crawl by. I’m not sure how I feel about that, on the one hand I want to enjoy this experience as much as I can, but I have heard how uncomfortable Erin has been the last three weeks soooo I’m hesitant to say I can wait. haha.
My back pain has been the worst this week. My belly is getting heavier and I can now only be on my feet for 1.5-2 hours at a time before I need to lay down. I figured that out when we were making cookies Saturday night.. It was very difficult for me to stand, thank goodness for Lauren Monday night I had some bad round ligament pain.. I felt like I had to keep rubbing my right side in order to make it stop hurting.. then I woke up the next morning and lo and behold my belly was bigger. Go figure!
My fingers and face are officially swelling :-/ As of two days ago I took off my rings They still fit but they are getting more and more snug during the day and it honestly feels like my fingers are wearing turtlenecks, and we all know how I feel about turtlenecks.. barf. I plan on taking my rings into the jeweler to get them cleaned and polished so that after Liam is born and I am ready to wear them again, they will look like new! In the meantime, I am wearing a ring one of my mom’s friends gave to me when Erik and I first got engaged. I am sad that I am no longer wearing my rings, but it is a better than having them be so snug that we have to cut them off.. no thanks.
Yesterday my twinsie and Caden sent Liam and I a verrrry cute Christmas gift
Little ties are the CUTEST! I feel like I say that about all baby clothes but man this time next year he is going to be wearing that in our Christmas pictures Erik wanted to try it on… actually he didn’t I wanted to see what it looked like Thanks Twinsie
According to babycenter.com, “Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she’s born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you’ve been nervous about preterm labor, you’ll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
