San Diego Part 1

Hello friends!

We are back from an amazing Babymoon :).  Originally we had planned on going to Puerto Rico, but as I said on Wednesday.. Isaac had other plans, so we changed ours. We went to San Diego for our babymoon with Patti and Ramsey :) I am going to have to split this vacation up into a few posts because I took a lot of pictures :)

We left at 4am on Friday and headed up to BWI to catch out 6am flight.

and once we got there we wasted no time.. We checked into our hotel, showered then headed out for lunch/ our third meal of the day.. we ate a lot that day. We went to Panda inn, which was located in avery interesting outdoor mall

some fancy fortune cookies

Our awesome fortune cookies, from top to bottom, Erik, Me, Ramsey, Patti

Patti and I had to take dueling belly pictures

We really couldn’t figure San Diego out, there were places where everyone looked really nice, but you turn the corner and the streets smelled and there were bums everywhere.  We decided to compare downtown San Diego to Adams Morgan in DC.

Their CVS at their outdoor mall, included a full liquor store

So weird! We walked around the Gaslamp district and took a few pics,

and ended up at a pretty awesome Wine store called the Wine Bank.  There were thousands of bottles of wine there, it was a sight.

Especially this enormous and EXPENSIVE bottle of wine,

Patti found a sweet chair that was apparently molded to fit anyone’s butt, haha

More walking.. that was the theme of the trip.. exhausting but fun and good for mommies and babies.

We walked all the way down to Petco Park, where the San Diego Padres play, it was a tiny stadium compared to the stadiums we have in DC

But it was neat to get so close to the field

Afterwards we sat down for some drinks, beer for the boys and virgin daiquiris for us

Before heading to The Beer Company for dinner/fourth meal

I had an amazing California burger and tator tots.  It was a loooooooooong but fantastic first day of vacation!

Stay tuned I have much more to share :)

Have a great day!

Cheers!
