Hello friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Our weekend was filled with football, and

ok really just one egg sandwich, but it was so good, I had to mention it.

Friday was my day off and Erik decided to take a mental health day and recover from the week.  It was awesome, just the two of us (ok and Ella) all day!  Friday night we went out to Red Robin for dinner with Lauren, Lejia and Hyojon (terribly awesome idea), and played apples to apples.

We woke up Saturday morning and started cleaning and vacuuming the house before I headed off to the gym and Erik headed off to his 2 football games.  I met up with them at the football field for the second game.  Unfortunately they lost both games, but the weather was nice so we didn’t mind being outside.  After the games we headed to Front Page for a late lunch.

I had a very yummy Grilled Chicken Salad with balsamic vinaigrette, sorry no picture.

One of the best parts of this weekend was Saturday night when we went to the Notre Dame/ Maryland football game with Erik’s Uncle.  He had gotten 4 seats for him, his wife and Erik’s parents, but they were not able to attend, so Erik, Lauren and I took their place.  Thank you Uncle Kevin for taking us with you!  When we arrived at FedEx field we immediately went to check out our seats and when we got there Uncle Kevin turned to me and said (with a huge grin on his face), “Ya, I think this will do, I can watch the game from here.” It was awesome.

We stayed until the beginning of the fourth quarter. And happily Notre Dame won that game, GO IRISH! Oh ya, Lauren and I tried a new beer, it was called Hopotberfest!

I love “hoppy” beer and this one I believe takes the cake. It was very fragrant and light.  I must find this and purchase this beer immediately.

Sunday was filled with even MORE football, Erik had 2 more football games (won 1, lost 1), and we spent the remainder of the day watching the Red(dead)skins lose :(.  I actually mentally checked out of the Redskins game and was reading Jodi Picoult’s book “Harvesting the Heart”, which was awesome.  I am now 4 books away from my goal of 13 in 2011!

I am glad football is over, now we have our weekends back, and I am already looking forward to next weekend (who isn’t) when we will be attending Patti and Ramsey’s WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!

Welp, that is all for today, I hope everyone has a great Monday!
