I take it back!

Hello friends!

Remember yesterday when I said the Jamie Eason’s Chest/Tricep workout was a bit easy and that I hope it gets harder?!  Okay well apparently, when you have been rehabilitating your shoulder for 6 months, you tend to neglect the chest and tricep area.  What I am trying to say is that when I woke up this morning I was very sore, in fact, I think I was sore before I went to bed last night. For shame!

I am happy to report that I was in fact working out the muscles I had intended to work out yesterday, win!  This morning started off with Day 2, Back/Biceps. This workout was harder than yesterday’s (let’s chalk it up to being sore), and it took a bit longer.  Overall I am very happy with these workouts. Afterwards, I did 20 minutes on the elliptical, and some abs. I plan on running my 3 miles later on today when it gets a bit warmer/sunnier.

Last night we went over to Luke’s house for entirely way too much food, ha.  I didn’t take a picture last night, but trust me when I say there was enough food to feed 10 people, and there were only 5 of us, beef, fish, sweet potato fries, and a veggie medley that Luke somehow made unhealthy (he cooked it in heavy cream).  My detox starts today, I had a nice bowl of cereal with a banana, lunch will be a salad, and for dinner I am making a Weight Watchers Gumbo recipe.  It sounds soo good I cannot wait to start making it.  I plan on making it in a few hours and letting it simmer all day 🙂 I might even throw it in the crock pot!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Have you ever thought a workout was super easy, only to find out the next day that you were very sore?– I sort of like the feeling, it feels good to know you worked the correct muscles and it will pay off!

Mmmm… gumbo! I am already sore right now from this morning’s workout. Yikes! It was really intense for my shoulders, which apparently haven’t been getting enough attention.

I cannot wait to make it, if it turns out the way I hope I will post the recipe tomorrow.

I am totally feeling it today too, no wonder this workout has 3 full rest days in the first week!

Everyone seems to be doing this Jamie Eason trainer thing! I guess it works, especially since you woke up so sore! Your muscles will get to where they need to be – I was so sore when I started lifting again after taking 3 – 4 months off!

Ya I saw it on my new bloggy friend Erin’s blog and decided to give it a go. I thought it would pair nicely with my 1/2 marathon training.. As me how I feel about it in a few weeks, haha. I am pooped!
