I have had quite the fun weekend thus far, and it’s not even close to being over (I have Monday off, woot).
We wanted a relaxing Friday night so we had some friends over to play apples to apples. Honestly if you have never played this game you must change that, it is a hilarious came.
Good times were had by all. Lauren and David came over earlier than everyone else and had dinner with us 🙂 mmm Spaghetti!
Saturday morning we woke up with the intention of running our scheduled 5 miles, but decided sleeping in was the better choice, (read: lazy). We did eventually (at 10am) roll out of bed and head to Costco with Lauren. We spent entirely way too much money, and got an unreasonable amount of food, but it was time well spent, haha. Still lingering in the back of my mind was the scheduled 5 mile run… We both avoided it all day, it just seemed like neither of us were really in the mood to run it. For me personally, I was terrified that I wouldn’t be able to run the entire thing, and I would be disappointed in myself.
5:30 pm rolls around and after talking about going to the gym and running all day, we both decided that we should just get up and do it. With my running shoes on, I said, “there is no way in hell I am going to be able to run all 5 miles.”
(Warning: Sappiness ahead)
But my hubby, being the incredible man that he is, said, “Nope, I know you can do it, because you are awesome.” And seriously, those words were the reason that I did it 🙂
I feel very blessed to have such an amazing and encouraging husband. He believes in me, therefore helping me believe in myself. Thank you hubby!
I am so glad we didn’t flake about working out/running yesterday, because I feel amazing today. I need to remember this feeling the next time I want to skip a workout!
Alright folks, I am off to do…. whatever it is that I do, haha.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I need advice, I get blisters on my arches, is there anything I can do or wear to prevent them?
