Happy Valentine’s Day, although I am not really a big fan of Valentine’s Day, I will still spread the love 🙂 Let me begin by reminding you all that you only have a few more hours left to enter my Fit Approach Giveaway! DO IT! 🙂
This year, we decided that we were going to run the Love the Run you’re with 5k in lieu of gifts and going out to dinner. It was my first official 5k race, woot, another task off of my 101 list.
It was cooooooold, and the course had us running up a massive hill right off the bat. Oh did I mention it snowed the day before… Why does it always snow before one of my races? I was happy with my time, but disappointed with how hard it was for me to run it, granted I ran faster than I ever have but still, it was a struggle.
I shouldn’t be too surprised though, because I took the entire week off from running/working out of any kind, well other than the 4 miles I ran on Saturday.
I have another race, a 10k, on Saturday and I am determined to work hard during the week so that I can PR this weekend, (current 10k PR = 1:4:33). My good friend Brandy, who is also running the Rock & Roll Half Marathon, also signed up for the race! I cannot wait, weather.com says it should be 50 degrees on Saturday!

What are you’re plans for tonight?– We are making dinner together, we are going to attempt to make Stuffed peppers again, new recipe this time. Wish me luck 🙂
Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?– We use the day to spend some more time together, sometimes we are go go go all the time, it gets hard to slow down. So that is what we do, slow down and spend time together 🙂
