Six Weeks!

Hello friends!

I hope everyone had a great night!  We both got home a bit early last night and threw the lacrosse ball around for about 30 minutes before I was eaten alive by bugs! Ah. But it was fun and the weather was awesome!!! Too bad the heat index today is 110 degrees!!!?!? what?! I hope everyone stays cool today! Annddd now back to the past haha 😉

Here we are at six weeks (May 31- June 7)! I look absolutely exhausted..

No change yet, which is a good thing I guess haha. This week I told my sister while Erik was in New York, we spent the whole weekend together, it was awesome. Read about it here.

On Monday the 11th, morning sickness hit me like a truck, well maybe a mini truck. I got up and was fine but I opened the fridge and saw the asparagus in the fridge (puke just writing that), and lost it. I had to run upstairs because I thought I was going to be sick.  I had to ask Erik to throw the asparagus away before I could come back downstairs.  I was generally queasy the rest of the day, not fun. The next few days I decided to take the advice of a few of my friends and eat some crackers in bed before I got up. It worked! In general, the thought and smell of cooked greens is making me not feel so great.  I made quinoa mac & cheese this week with cooked broccoli and the second day I took it to work, just thinking about it made me queasy.  In the mornings I am sticking to honey nut cheerios and milk, and I have been snacking on some cheesy flavored snacks which I think are also contributing to my general queasiness. Gotta cut that out; baby S does not seem to like them.

I think (hope) that the extreme exhaustion I had last week is gone.  I have still been falling asleep on the couch at 9pm, but I don’t feel like I’ve been run over by a train in the middle of the day.

Dear little baby S,

This week while daddy was in NYC, your auntie came over to spend the weekend with us, and I told her that she was going to be an auntie! She was sooo excited. I even took a video of it.  This week I had to keep crackers on my nightstand because you were making mommy’s tummy hurt in the mornings.  But luckily the morning sickness was just that.. only in the mornings, let’s hope it stays that way. Okay? Thanks!

Your very happy Mommy

I hope everyone has a great day!!!
