10 Weeks!

Hello friends!

Thanks for keeping up with my posts this past weekend.. If you missed them here are my 8 week and 9 week posts… We will be live with my weekly update posts THIS FRIDAY! hehe.

We are finally in DOUBLE DIGITS (June 28- July 5)!

I think that “bump” is the extra helping of rice I had last night

Oh well. Ha. This week our baby nugget is the size of a Kumquat:


I tried to find these in the store but obviously failed.

According to BabyCenter.com… “your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature.  He’s swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they’ll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy.”

I have been feeling pretty good this week, especially after I realized that my morning coffee was making me feel queasy all day and cut it out of my diet. My best friend recently

Keeps my stomach happy, that and eating a light snack every 2-3 hours has certainly helped out a lot.  Speaking of food, I haven’t been able to stand the sight/smell or thought of anything with red meat since the beginning of this week. My stomach turned just typing that.  We have been eating a lot of chicken,

and I seem to be favoring a lot of vegetarian foods lately.

Like I said I have still been eating chicken, and eggs, but other than… bleh… Thank goodness I can still eat salads, I really don’t know what I would eat if I couldn’t stand salads! I am still loving fruit.. all day every day, I think I eat about 3-4 pieces of fruit a day!

I have also had a surge of energy this week; we even made it to the gym on the fourth of July! I am hoping it will get easier to get up in the mornings so that we can go to the gym regularly.  If you hadn’t noticed that is why I haven’t been at the gym the past three months, I have zero energy, but I am told in a few weeks that will go away! I am ready for it.

Also this week I have been thinking a lot about the nursery. I know it is super early to start thinking about this stuff, but I can’t help it.  We are going to move our office into the basement, and use that room for the nursery.  It is already a share of grey but I think I want it to be a lighter shade of grey for the baby’s room.  I will hold off on the details until September when we will find out if we are having a boy or girl!  Well I think that is all for this week .

    You look flippin’ adorable. I find it hilarious that you are missing beer haha. And when I was doing my internship I had many soon-to-be mom’s who were making faux cocktails with ginger ale and a little cranberry juice!
