OMG did you guys see the Women’s Gymnastics Final last night!!!!!!!!!! I have been watching gymnastics my whole life.. in fact my cousin and I when we were little used to pretend that we were gymnasts in her basement during the 96 Olympics. Oh man those were good times. I love the Olympics, I can’t get enough of them!
Okay two more pre-written posts and then we go live, I have a lot I want to share 🙂 But for now.. here is my 12 weeks post!
Ahhh the last week of my first trimester!! Can it be true!?!?! Yes we have come so far and I feel great! (July 12- July 19)
Ahh our little plum!
We went to the OB yesterday for our second appointment
we were supposed to hear the heartbeat this week, but our little jumping bean was being stubborn and was hiding behind something so we had to settle for another ultrasound (boo hoo, NOT).
We are calling the baby our little jumping bean because while we were looking at him/her, he/she was jumping up and down like it was doing jumping jacks and waving to us. Honestly I have never seen anything more amazing in my whole life. I think we are going to have one bouncy little nugget.
This week we finally announce our little bean on facebook and on this here bloggy 🙂 It was awesome. I brought cupcakes to work today to celebrate with my coworkers 🙂 Most of them didn’t know so it was fun to see everyone’s reaction.
And obviously the cupcakes were amazing, I mean who doesn’t love funfetti!?
I feel great, other than feeling enormous after I eat, all the time, things are great. I haven’t been getting sick at all since I stopped drinking coffee! YAY.
According to BabyCenter.com, “The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby’s fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won’t be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby’s brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. ”
I guess Erik said something funny 🙂
