Happy Thanksgiving!!! I don’t know about you guys but I am STOKED about dinner tonight and black Friday shopping later on in the evening! I hope all of you are having a wonderful day filled with family and food 🙂
I cannot believe I am already 30 weeks! Honestly, 10 weeks to go?! Is that real life!? I was telling my friend Sarah that it really feels like just yesterday I walked into work and told her I was pregnant, and now look at me… 30 weeks later!
This week baby LIAM weighs as much as a head of cabbage.. almost THREE POUNDS.. whaaaa? He is packing on the lbs 🙂 and I love it.
Obviously the highlight of this week was my baby shower. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives and I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for everything you have done for us.
The discomfort and symptoms of the first trimester are sticking around, and I’m not too happy about that.. It’s mainly the exhaustion but now I have added some lower back and hip pain not cool. I am ready for bed around 8pm every night now a days, it’s quite sad actually. Luckily, knock on wood, I have been sleeping pretty well. I only get up once a night to pee, and I fall back asleep right away. Of course now that I have written this I will not be able to sleep at night.. sigh…
I also think I finally experience braxton hicks contractions.. At least I think that’s what they are, who knows. My belly gets really hard once in a while and it’s uncomfortable, but then it goes away. I have also felt him hiccuping, and now I can see it, a rhythmic bumping in my belly.. hehe so cute. I rub my belly a lot, and I think he is laying completely diagonal in my stomach, ha. But I have no clue. My next appointment is next week and I think I will ask my doc if she can tell which way he is facing. I’ve been reading you don’t really have to worry about it for another couple of week, I guess around 35 weeks, but I just want to know. I can’t wait until I can get his movements on camera!! Ava wanted to get in on the 30 week picture 🙂
I love my sister 🙂
According to babycenter.com, “Your baby’s about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it’s not very keen; even after she’s born, she’ll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she’ll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)”
