Thanks for your words of encouragement :). I am determined to lower my BP naturally and I am well on my way, well at least I hope. I went to Safeway yesterday and got stuff to make salads at work for the next week. The one I made yesterday was so amazing, I cannot wait to eat it again for lunch today.
Mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, avocado, reduced sodium black beans, no salt added corn, craisins and toasted almonds, topped with a light poppy seed dressing. Oh it was fabulous. I had a pineapple Chobani to round out my lunch. After lunch I went on a 1.5 mile walk with my friend Rose (thanks Rose), and we plan on doing it again today and well for as long as I can handle it.
For dinner I made Spinach feta burgers
I know the feta cheese isn’t low sodium but the spinach has potassium, folate, and magnesium which are key ingredients for lowering and maintaining blood pressure levels. Go me!
Wednesday after our appointment Erik and I went to get his new phone activated AND we went to Baby’s-R-Us to get the extra car seat base because I had a coupon and rewards dollars that were going to expire soon. I finally parked in my very first expectant mother’s parking spot. WIN
haha there were a lot of spots open but I just wanted to park there.. it was the first expectant mother parking spot I’ve seen around here.. figures it would be at the Baby’s-R-Us.
Also yesterday in the mail we got our last Black Friday purchase 🙂 Erik got a new phone on Black Friday and I order a camcorder, so that we can record little Liam’s every move 😉
I’m pretty excited to start using it. Hooray for happy things 🙂
I hope everyone has a great Friday and an even better weekend!
What are your plans for this weekend?
