33 weeks, time sure is flying by, only seven weeks left!
Since we went in last week and they told us that Liam was about 4 lbs 4 oz, and babycenter.com says that he should be gaining about half a pound a week I will just be assuming his weight from now on. We will see how accurate I am after he is born :). I do believe my coworkers are going to start a due date pool in the office in the next few weeks, probably sometime in January. At least that’s what Rose said she wants to do 😉
I’ve been slightly more uncomfortable this week. My hips and lower back have been hurting a lot, and as he is getting bigger and moving up in my belly bending over is almost impossible. I feel like I’m going to start wearing slippers to work so I don’t have to bend over and tie my shoes. haha, sad but true.
Yesterday I had my biweekly doctors appointment. She said my blood pressure was good and Liam sounded great! I go back to the doctor Friday the 28th then after that starting in January, I will be going in every week until my due date!!!
Erik and I are both getting anxious and excited to meet Liam. We know that he needs to stay in there for at least four more weeks in order to be considered full term, but we are as “ready” as I think we can be at this point.
Erik is going to be setting up the pack & play and all that jazz starting the last week of the year! I cannot wait to see what our house is going to look like. I think Erik is a bit scared of all the stuff we will have around the house. Hopefully we will have put all of our Christmas decorations away by then so our house doesn’t seem tooooo cluttered 🙂
According to babycenter.com, “This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He’s rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren’t fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with aconehead-like appearance.) These bones don’t entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.”
