Hello friends 🙂
The first few days with our little guy were amazing, as expected 🙂 We tried to take as many pictures as we could 🙂 Our hospital had very strict restrictions in regards to visitors because of the terrible flu outbreak, so only my mom and Erik’s parents were allowed to come visit us in the hospital. It was a real bummer but now that I look back on it, it was nice to be able to spend the first few days alone with our little guy.
He loves being held by his daddy 🙂There is something special and hear melting seeing a daddy hold his son. Erik is the best dad, he is simply amazing and Liam loves him soooo much. We sent Liam to the nursery the two nights we were there so we could get some sleep and it was the best thing we did while we were there. I woke up the second night at 6 am and looked around and was really sad that Liam wasn’t in the room with us. So I called the nurse to bring him back and we could hear him crying down the hall. haha. It was like my body could sense that he was awake and needed me.
He is such a good baby. He sleeps and I have to wake him up every 2.5-3 hours to feed. Which is another topic I want to write a post about soon. 🙂
While we were at the hospital his bilirubin levels (indicating jaundice) was a bit high so they wanted to monitor it closely. So after we left the hospital we had to go back into the doctor a few times to get it checked.. But I will write more about that tomorrow.
Erik filled out Liam’s birth certificate paperwork,While Liam got lots of love from his grandparents 🙂
On Friday February 1, we were discharged from the hospital and headed home. We put Liam in his Little Monster going home outfit and headed home 🙂
At first he didn’t like his carseat, but eventually he calmed down and fell asleep on the way home 🙂
I can’t get enough of his sweet little face 🙂
I hope everyone has a great day! It is finally sunny and warmer around here so we are going to take Liam out for a little stroll later 🙂 Maybe hit up Trader Joe’s and get some groceries 🙂
