One thing I have been struggling with is figuring out how Erik and I are both going to be working, taking care of Liam and having time to go to the gym or working out. We both need to be able to have some time to work out during the day in order to keep ourselves levelheaded. Exercise has been such a big part of our lives and now that we have a baby we need to figure out how to fit it in again.
I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that I will never have time to make it to the gym, so I’ve been looking for something else I can do. I had mentioned I was going to do the Jamie Eason’s LiveFit trainer, but that really requires you to be able to go to the gym.
We have enough weights at home that I feel like I can get a pretty good workout at home with the weights if I needed them, Erik on the other hand needs heavier weights. So we decided that after Erik picks Liam up from daycare, he will bring him home and play with him until I get home from work. Then he will head to the gym while I feed him and make dinner.
Then somewhere between the time we have dinner and before Liam goes to sleep I plan on doing P90x. I had great success with it before and I think it will work best for our needs as a family. On the weekends once the weather starts getting warmer I will be running outside 🙂
