Vitamin D Drops.. The battle

Hello friends!

I’m not sure if I mentioned this before but the last week I haven’t been giving Liam is Vitamin D drops.  This is because every time I give it to him he throws up.  Now I’m not sure if it’s because he doesn’t like the taste or if it makes his belly hurt. So I stopped and I did some research.  Well it turns out the that Enfamil one we were giving him

vitamin

has a lot of chemicals and preservatives in it.. bleh. Just read the label…

Ingredients: Glycerin, Water, Polysorbate 80, Citric Acid, Vitamin D3, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Artificial Flavor and Artificial Caramel Color.

barf.. Vitamin D isn’t even the #1 ingredient!!! Who needs to give their baby all that extra junk.  I thought Vitamin D was just supposed to be Vitamin D? Additionally you have to give them an entire dropper full and I don’t know about all of your kids but Liam absolutely hates it.  We even tried to put it into his milk.. he refused to drink his milk.  So I did some research….  A few google clicks later I found the answer. A Vitamin D drop that requires only ONE drop, odorless, tasteless, and not full of chemicals and preservatives.

Take a look at the ingredients to this bad boy:

Ingredients: Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 400 IU, Thin vegetable oil (purified components of coconut and palm oil)

And according to their website, it is wheat-free, gluten-free, soya-free, sugar-free and peanut-free.  Did I mention you only have to give them ONE drop?!  I put a drop into Liam’s evening bottle, and he drinks it right up.  It is a little pricey but it is so worth it. Anyway that is my 2 cents.  I purchased this product on my own and these opinions are solely mine.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Cheers!

Hmmmm… I’ve been giving Emma the cheaper drops. She doesn’t mind them but the ingredients list isn’t reassuring. I might look into the more expensive ones. And because you only have to use a drop, the bottle will last longer.
    Thanks for sharing!
