40 weeks!

Hello friends!

Oh man I cannot believe Liam is already 40 weeks old!  He has been outside my body and in this world longer than he was inside at this point and that is sort of scary.

40 weeks

I wanted to wait until after Liam’s 9 month check up to write this post because I wanted to share his official stats!  You can find those at the bottom of this post 🙂  He is growing really well, according to the doctor, especially since he is constantly on the move.  Dr. W was very excited and happy that he was still nursing, and we plan on continuing that at least until he is a year old.  He has started to show signs of not wanting to nurse during the day, which is okay.  I think eventually he will naturally cut those lunchtime and pre-nap nursing sessions out by himself and we will be down to morning and nighttime feedings.  I’ve decided not to actively wean him, to see if he will start doing it on his own.  I’ll keep you all in the loop haha.

He is a very curious little guy; always looking for trouble.. haha

The other day he was playing in his room, pulling down books and I look up from what I was reading and I saw him crawling inside his bookcase

I said, what are you doing silly boy.. and he comes out and pulls out his little red squirrel.. oh gosh it was the cutest thing.

Again I apologize for the lack of blog posts recently, we have been reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly busy, in a good way 🙂

I’ve also started giving him more off of my own plate.  He really loves trying new things.  He does get mad when I try and feed him now. He will smack my hands away.  He is already becoming so independent 😦

IMG_20131106_141407He is way more interested in eating foods that he can pick up and feed himself rather than the pouches of food I’ve been giving him.  It is sad and cute at the same time. Where has the time gone! Our little boy is growing up so fast.

Official 9 month stats
Weight: 20lbs 13 oz
Height: 29 inches
Head size: 18.25 inches

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!
