New Hampshire Adventures

Hello friends!

I hope everyone is doing well. We just got back from our trip to New Hampshire visiting my best friend from college, Kelly ๐Ÿ™‚

20140308_134114We had such a wonderful time. I finally got to meet her new Fiance, Ty, who is almost as awesome as Kelly ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had been telling Kelly that I would come up to New Hampshire/Vermont to visit her since probably freshman year of college, and it has taken me about 11 years (wow that really makes me feel old) to finally do it. Erik, Liam and I left Thursday at around 11 am and drove for about 11 hours before we finally pulled up to Kelly and Ty’s house.

We went straight to bed so we could get up relatively early and head to the mountain to go snowboarding. ย Friday morning Erik and I took turns watching Liam so that one of us could go out on the mountain with Kelly.

I was a bit rusty because I hadn’t gone in two years but I feel like I was pretty much right were I left off skill wise two years ago. ย That isn’t really saying much because I suck, but at least I can get down the mountain. We were on the mountain for a few hours before coming back, showering and heading out to Harpoon for dinner and drinks ๐Ÿ™‚

The food was fantastic (the cheese up there is amazing), as was the company. ย I got to meet Katie, Kelly’s friend and her Maid of Honor. She is awesome, I cannot wait to come back up here for Kelly’s bachelorette party and wedding!

Saturday we had plans to be out on the mountain all day because Kelly’s future in-laws were having a family ski race. ย We got kind of a late start because Liam needed an early nap, but we got there, found an awesome parking spot and got to hang out with her family.

20140308_134317 20140308_134246Mount Sunapee has this thing called a “beach” which is right at the base of the mountain. People set up lawn chairs and BBQ’s. It is the coolest thing I have ever seen on a mountain.

(it wasn’t actually snowing, google made it look like it was snowing)20140308_134330Right before the race Liam zonked out in his stroller. Yes I took a stroller onto snow.

20140308_134220 20140308_134215Saturday night was pretty low key. We hung out at Kelly and Ty’s house, ate beef stew and watched Liam make a huge mess of cheerios. ย He was pretty proud of himself.

20140308_173317 20140308_173208 20140308_173231Sunday morning we got up, and Kelly made us the most amazing breakfast casserole thingy, which I obviously forgot to take a picture of. ย I will definitely have to make it at home.

Afterwards we headed out to see the farm and the sugar house

I cannot wait to see Kelly and her friends again soon ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope everyone has a great day!
