Post pregnancy weight loss round 2

Hello friends!

I hope everyone is having a good week, things have been pretty busy over here.

I remember writing a post like this after I had Liam and I had ever intention of losing all my pregnancy weight and get back to my pre-pregnancy shape. I also remember totally falling off the bandwagon and still being 15 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight when I got pregnant with Quinn. Not really where I wanted to be, but I made an effort to eat a little better/less while I was pregnant with Quinn. It also helped that I had horrible morning sickness with her and I couldn’t really eat for the first twelve weeks.

I gained 32 lbs this time around, and ended up 3 lbs over what I was at the end of my pregnancy with Liam. Not too bad, but now I have a little over 50 lbs to lose to get to where I was before I got pregnant with Liam. Β I am trying not to think about the total number as a whole, because 50 lbs seems really overwhelming.

Looking back at my posts after Liam I lost about 20 lbs a month after I delivered Liam so that gives me high hopes. I also have a fitbit now and all of my friends are working towards losing weight, so that makes staying on track a little easier.

I am happy to report that 12 days post delivery I am already down 21.1 lbs and I haven’t started working out yet! I got some pretty awesome shoes for Christmas from David and I cannot wait to be able to use them.


I think I am going to start doing some light upper body weight training in the next week or two just to see how my body responds, then I will go from there.
