Our little lady is FOUR weeks old.
And guess what?! We figured out the secret to bedtime! After reading my posts from last time, I realized that we were putting Liam in his bassinet in our room for the night between 7 and 9. We realized now that she wasn’t too happy with all the noise from the TV while she was trying to sleep at night. After we put Liam to bed, Erik finishes getting dinner ready as I put Quinn to bed in her bassinet.
Next week I think I am going to start putting her in her crib for naps during the day and move her into her bed at night at the end of the week. I think she would do really well in there right now, but I am hesitant to put her in there because she wakes up every 2-2.5 hours and I am afraid I wouldn’t hear her crying until she really started screaming and it would wake Liam up.
We are also going to start introducing her to a bottle in the next few days. It will give me a little more freedom and it will get her ready for when I go back to work. I’ve been slowly pumping and saving milk as backup for super hungry baby emergencies.
She has really grown this week; she is already out of newborn clothes and into 0-3 month outfits. We also started putting her in size 1 diapers. They are a little big on her but I didn’t want to order another box of newborn diapers. Speaking of clothes…. I am having fun dressing up a little girl…
Yup she is wearing jeggings. I had to go to the store this week and get her a few more 0-3 month outfits because I realized she only had two pairs of pajamas in this size. I am hoping we can make it through until she is big enough to fit into 3 month pjs. I have been hesitant to buy her tons of clothes because I don’t know how fast she is going to grow. Liam grew really fast, but girls tend to be smaller and grow slower physically, so I’ve been holding off.
Have a great day!
