** This post is over a week late. She was 11 weeks April 18, 20015**
Holy moly our little lady is 11 weeks old. I can’t believe she will be three months old at the end of the month.
This week she has been all smiles. She totally recognizes our faces and will give the biggest smile when she sees us. She absolutely LOVES Liam, and he loves her back
I hope they love each other this much as they get older. We have been really bad with tummy time, but her neck is already so strong. We need to make it part of our routine. I think I will start fitting it in right before bath time to get her nice and sleepy before bed.
Sleeeepp.. oh sweet sleep, please come back. The beginning of this week was very rough. She would sleep from 8-2ish then would wake up every.single.hour. until 6 am. Exhausted doesn’t even come close to how I felt Mon-Wed. Then Wednesday night she went to bed at 8:30pm and slept until 1:45am. I nursed her from one side, then changed her diaper in an attempt to wake her up enough to eat from the other side. I tried to nurse her again but she kept falling asleep. So I gave up and put her in her bed. She immediately opened her eyes, so I picked her up tried to burp her and nurse her again. This happened a total of three times. The third time she finally burped a little then ate for seven minutes! She fell asleep at 2:30 am and didn’t wake up again until 6 am! Hooray!
Thursday morning I felt like a new woman! Thursday night was similar. She went to sleep at 8:15 and woke up at 12:45 am. She ate from one side, burped, I changed her diaper, ate from the other side then slept until 5 am! This time she was only awake for 25 minutes. Progress! I’m thinking the addition of a 2 oz bottle before I nursed her might be enough to keep her asleep until 3 am. We might try it next week!
Pray that this pattern continues. Alright I leave you today with an adorable picture of our little princess in her purple and white lace dress!
