I am unbelievably behind with posts but here we go.
A few weeks ago we went to the beach with Erik’s parents! It was amazing despite the sleepless nights, more on that later.
The hotel/resort we stayed at had an awesome pool area complete with a slide and lazy river which apparently I did not take a picture of… #fail
The beach was a hop, skip and a jump away from the hotel so every morning after breakfast we would get dressed and head down to the beach for a nice long walk.
Liam loved it because he could just run around, splash in the water and collect shells. And yes we brought home A LOT of shells. I have no idea what we are going to do with all of these shells but I am sure I will come up with something.
After naps we would get back into our swimming suits and spend the afternoon at the beach
On Wednesday, we decided to take a break from the pool in the morning and we took the kids to a nearby playground.
Liam had a blast, we went back to this playground again the morning before we left to come home, and he had just as much, if not more fun. We went back to the hotel for naps, then headed out to dinner.
We used this opportunity to take some family pictures.
After dinner we took Liam over to a mini carnival where he wanted to ride every ride.
He was so brave it made me tear up to see my little boy be so brave. Where did my baby go!? The week went by way too fast, but we were happy to head home because Quinn had a horrible time at night. Her teeth were coming in and they were making her miserable and since we all shared a room she would wake Liam up. He would say, “oh Quinny you are waking me up again!, It’s okay Quinny go back to sleep.” It was adorable, but I was exhausted in the mornings. Despite that, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you to Erik’s parents for inviting us to go with them this week, and we cannot wait to do it again next year and for many years to come.
