It’s hard to believe I am finally on time with a weekly update! Little Miss Quinn is 45 weeks old, as of December 12, 2015.
She is such a little peanut, with a larger than life personality. This week we went to a Park for their Winter Wonderland festival. It was adorable. We took pictures with Santa again, and stood in line for the train. Quinn was exhausted because we had to go during her naptime. She was so sweet and just watched all the little kids from the Ergo. The train ride was a bit windy, and I am convinced that is what got both kids sick this week, but we had a really good time despite the grouchy looks on their faces.
We also started sleep training Quinn this week and it went something like this:
Night 1: She woke up at 2 and cried/whined for 45 minutes, I went in her room quietly and took her noise machine out of her room and she passed out until 7am!
Night 2: I put her in her bed when she was awake expecting her to have a meltdown, but she didn’t. She just rolled around in her bed, and eventually fell asleep and slept for 11 hours STRAIGHT! It was amazing.
Night 3: Exactly the same as night 2, I was on cloud night!
Night 4: Liam was really sick that afternoon so when she started crying at 4 am I went into her room to check on her because I figured she was sick too. Turns out she was fine, and I ruined our sleep training efforts that night because since then she has been waking up again in the middle of the night. Now she has a cold and I believe is cutting THREE teeth (again), so we are in a bit of a limbo phase with sleep right now.
I think once these teeth come in and her cold is gone, we can try sleep training again and this time hopefully we will get into a rhythm before she gets more teeth or another cold! She also learned to climb the stairs this week! We might have to invest in a gate for the bottom of the stairs in the basement, but we will see. For now, she is entertained by Liam enough to not want to climb the stairs all the time.
