Our little lady is 47 weeks old, as of December 26, 2015.
Her sixth tooth finally broke through, so her sleeping habits are back to normal. Thank goodness too, because I am exhausted. On Sunday night I decided I had had enough of the constant waking up, and now that she wasn’t sick anymore I knew it was a habit. She woke up at around midnight and was very angry, so I figured well let me try to give her a bottle to see if she is hungry or if this has become a habit. She was not interested in the bottle AT ALL. So I knew she wasn’t hungry. I let her cry for a little bit to see if she would put herself back to sleep, but after 20 minutes, I went into her room and just rubbed her back. She fell right back to sleep and slept until 5 am. That seemed to do the trick, and she has been sleeping through the night ever since.
mm mm so cute! I will do a separate Christmas post later this week; I need to edit the photos! But a little sneak peak at what she was wearing for Christmas Eve dinner…
This is a tradition I really hope to keep up, until the kids are old enough to want to buy their grandparents gifts 🙂
So I mentioned that I was going to try giving Quinn yogurt this week to see how she does; well I am happy to report, that we gave her some this week and it did not seem to upset her tummy! I still don’t know if I am going to give her cows milk but I have a little bit of time to decide. As of now, I think we are going to try Goat’s milk and see how she does with it. I will do another post sometime in the near future on why we chose Goat milk over all the other alternatives.
Speaking of milk, my milk has been slowly decreasing as she eats more and more food. It makes me really sad to think this breastfeeding journey is almost over, but I am happy my pumping journey is coming to an end for now. I will probably cry when I start to wean her, and then again when she is done nursing. Sigh. As I have mentioned before, she LOVES food, but I finally found something she does not like. She really does not like meat. She will eat chicken when she is really hungry, but does not seem to like red meat. This is totally new territory for us, because steak is Liam FAVORITE thing in the whole world. I will talk to her pediatrician about it at her ONE YEAR (so weird) appointment and see if he has any concerns about it.
On to other things that she does not like… Socks or shoes of any sort.. Actually she hates anything on her feet. She will sleep in footie pajamas, but wants me to take them off as soon as she wakes up. She also takes her shoes and sock off as soon as I put her in her car seat!
I have no idea how to keep socks and shoes on her feet. Suggestions are welcome!
OOoo one more thing. Sorry this post is so long, but it has been an eventful week! Her hair, it is finally starting to grow longer and guess what!? I think it is going to be curly just like Liam’s!!!
Okay that is all I have for you all today!
Have a great day!
